About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team at The Lakefields Neurological Centre in Chigwell. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality food and beverage services to our service users, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all areas and equipment within the catering department are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards.
  • Serve food and beverages to patients, staff, and visitors in a professional and customer-friendly manner.
  • Assist with receiving and storing incoming supplies, and ensuring all kitchen equipment is clean and stored properly.
  • Participate in the control of kitchen paperwork and ensure all duties are carried out efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of COSHH and HACCP procedures.
  • Experience of working in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Basic Food Preparation skills and knowledge of menu planning and costing.
