About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team at The Lakefields Neurological Centre. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our catering department, providing exceptional service to our patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all areas and equipment within the catering department are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards.
  • Prepare and serve food and beverages in a professional and customer-friendly manner.
  • Assist with receiving and storing incoming supplies, ensuring they are properly labeled and stored.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
  • Participate in the control of kitchen paperwork and assist with menu planning and costing.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of COSHH and HACCP guidelines.
  • Experience working in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Basic food preparation skills and knowledge of menu planning and costing.
