About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team at The Lakefields Neurological Centre. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hospitality services, providing exceptional care and support to our patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all areas and equipment within the catering department are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards.
  • Serve food and beverages in a professional and customer-friendly manner, providing a warm and welcoming experience for all.
  • Assist with receiving and storing incoming supplies, ensuring they are properly labeled and stored.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • Participate in the control of kitchen paperwork, ensuring accurate records and efficient processes.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of COSHH and HACCP procedures.
  • Experience working in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Basic Food Preparation skills, with a focus on safety and hygiene.
  • Understanding of menu planning and costing principles.

About the Centre

The Lakefields Neurological Centre is a brand-new 22-bed service providing specialist nursing and therapy services for individuals with complex long-term neurological conditions. Our Centre is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including therapy rooms, lounge areas, and beautifully maintained gardens.
