About the Role:

The Peterborough City Council is looking for an experienced Educational Psychologist to take on a leadership role within our Educational Psychology Service (EPS). As a Senior Educational Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and supervision to colleagues, developing and delivering training programs, and supporting schools in delivering the graduated approach for children with Special Educational Needs.

  • To lead the development and delivery of high-quality services for children, young people, and families.
  • To work collaboratively with the senior leadership team to shape the strategic direction of the service and implement local authority initiatives.
  • To contribute to the development and delivery of training programs for school staff, applying up-to-date theory and research.
  • To support schools in delivering the graduated approach for children with Special Educational Needs.

Requirements:
- A minimum of three years' experience as a qualified Educational Psychologist.
- Registration with the Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC).
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively within a team environment.

What We Offer:
- A competitive salary range: £61,848 - £65,120, plus up to 3 SPA points (£69,010).
- Flexible working hours scheme allowing for accrual of 8 hours of flexi-time per month.
- 30 days annual leave annually, rising to 31 days after 10 years and 32 days after 15 years of continuous service, plus additional bank holidays.
- Relocation package, as per policy.
- Comprehensive pension scheme with employer contributions of 17.5% (current).
- Immediate life cover (x3 times your annual salary) and ill-health protection.
- HCPC registration fees reimbursed at the point of renewal.
