Senior Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced Senior Practitioner to join our Children's Social Work team at Kent County Council. As a Senior Practitioner, you will play a key role in supporting children and families, using your expertise and transferable skills to make a positive impact.
Key Responsibilities- Support children and families through quality Child and Family Assessments and S47 Investigations
- Work alongside families who require ongoing Child in Need and Child Protection support
- Contribute to training initiatives and act as a role model and mentor to less experienced colleagues
- Proactively maintain awareness of changes in child development theories, legislation, policies, and practices
- Professional registration with a degree in social work with Social Work England CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent
- Post-qualification experience of working with children and families, including systemic practice
- Understanding of legislative and policy frameworks
- Ability to build relationships with colleagues and statutory, voluntary, and private sector agencies
- Competitive salary of £43,810 - £49,989 per annum
- Up to £5,000 annual market premiums payment subject to eligibility
- £3,000 Annual Retention Market Premium Payment (following successful probationary period)
- £2,000 Car Market Premium (Applies to eligible staff who use their own car to carry out their duties) and paid business mileage
