Job Description:

We are seeking a Safety Assurance Lead to join our Product Safety Team in Barrow-in-Furness, Brough, Filton, Frimley, Portsmouth, Weymouth or Manchester. The successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of safety assurance strategies across the product lifecycle.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement safety assurance strategies to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure their requirements are met and needs are considered.
  • Verify and sign off engineering designs and produce written function safety justifications.
  • Manage the production of a functional Safety Case to a defined schedule.

Your Expertise and Qualifications:

A Chartered Engineer or equivalent experience with a strong background in Industrial Controls Systems is required. We also require expertise in TUV Functional Safety, experience on both software and hardware, and knowledge of IEC 61508 or IEC 61511.

Compensation Package: Circa £60,000 per annum
