About the Role

We are seeking an experienced radiochemist to manage our upgraded Radiochemistry Facility, which comprises key equipment for radiochemistry including a cyclotron and hot cells.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the safe and effective operation of the Facility to support research in the Department of Chemistry.
  • Be responsible for the performance and maintenance of the cyclotron and hot cells.
  • Develop and implement protocols for safe operation, troubleshoot issues, deliver training to users, and monitor Facility performance as required by health and safety legislation.
Requirements
  • A relevant science degree or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Technical and mechanical expertise in cyclotron and hot cell operation.
  • Substantial knowledge of radiation health and safety practices and legislation.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
What We Offer
  • A full-time, permanent position available immediately.
  • A competitive salary around £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, in line with the University of Oxford's salary scales.
