Asset Change Manager

We are seeking a skilled Asset Change Manager to join our team at the Atomic Weapons Establishment: AWE. This exciting opportunity will involve working closely with stakeholders to identify areas for improvement in asset performance, with the goal of enhancing availability and reliability to meet programme demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) workshops to identify key asset failures and consequences, and provide technical input to recommend mitigation actions.
  • Identify critical spare requirements to support the availability of key assets and identify obsolescence risk.
  • Ensure key stakeholders are provided with asset performance and project delivery status information as appropriate.
  • Support root cause analysis for complex plant and equipment performance issues.
  • Extract data, prepare and author reports to support asset performance analysis.
  • Provide expertise in the application of the maintenance optimisation process.
  • Manage company change management process inline for ongoing projects.

Requirements:

  • ONC/HNC in Engineering Discipline or building discipline, or suitable experience gained in an engineering or building environment.
  • A good level of understanding and awareness of Asset Management/Maintenance principles is preferred but not essential.
  • Customer-focused with strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to identify problems, evaluate options, and execute solutions.
  • Working knowledge of Facilitation and Change Management techniques.
  • Experience of negotiation and facilitation to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Through-life asset management knowledge.
  • Understanding of the internal and external environment in which the company operates.
  • Good understanding and knowledge of regulation and legislation with regards to engineering and maintenance.
  • Experience or qualifications in risk management.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel especially).
