Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Care Specialist to join our team at Calderdale Royal Hospital. As an Advanced Care Specialist, you will practice independently in various clinical environments, providing high-quality care to patients of all ages and presenting conditions.

You will be responsible for undertaking assessments, diagnoses, treatments, and discharges, as well as providing clinical mentorship and leadership to trainee and peer practitioners. You will also participate in audit, data collection, and activity monitoring to improve performance and inform future service developments.

As a valued member of our team, you will contribute to the development, implementation, review, and evaluation of clinical protocols. You will also participate in teaching and mentoring other health professionals, ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality in the delivery of healthcare services.

To ensure patient care and safety remain at the forefront of our organization's objectives and vision, you will recognize and provide appropriate access and intervention for all patients, addressing health inequalities and promoting health literacy.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Evidence of a range of clinical expertise, working independently in a healthcare role.
  • Experience of working in primary/urgent care.
  • Able to pass pre-employment health assessment.
  • Current registration with HCPC, NMC or GPhC.
