Job Title: Occupational Therapist - Rehabilitation Specialist

Location: Westgate Healthcare

Job Type: Full-time or Part-time

Salary: £38,000 to £42,000 (FTE) a year, depending on experience

Hours: Up to 40 hours per week

About the Role:

  • Provide occupational therapy assessment, advice, and rehabilitation to residents discharged from hospital for further rehabilitation.
  • Work in a rehabilitation unit with 13 beds within a care home based in Hertfordshire.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to review residents' needs and plan discharge.
  • Conduct off-site access visits to identify equipment requirements and ensure safe discharge.
  • Accurately maintain records and document in a timely manner.
  • Attend and participate in team meetings and in-service training.
  • Provide training to care staff on assembly of equipment for residents.
  • Assist in activities for residents, providing exercise where appropriate.
  • Ensure Health & Safety standards are monitored and any shortfalls identified and reported to the Home Manager.
  • Adhere to infection control policies and procedures at all times.

About You:

  • The right to live and work in the UK.
  • A caring nature, positive attitude, and the ability to work in a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • BSc (Hons) or equivalent Occupational Therapy qualification and HCPC Registration is essential.
  • Previous experience of working with the elderly is desirable but not essential, as full training is provided.
