Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Thales UK in Crawley. As a key member of our Manufacturing Engineering team, you will be responsible for implementing Design for Manufacture and Assembly techniques and providing full process technical support to the manufacturing team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement Design for Manufacture and Assembly techniques to improve manufacturing efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Work closely with Methods and Technology departments to ensure the necessary Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) for projects.
  • Deliver production processes that meet quality and delivery targets.
  • Drive process implementation and validation to support both manufacturing and pre-production.
  • Influence and monitor product maturity from concept to series production.
  • Use structured problem-solving techniques to minimize production downtime.
  • Support manufacturing in identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure a level of governance around Manufacturing data packs and processes.
Requirements:
  • Current experience in Manufacturing, Process, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and ability to manage stakeholders at different organizational levels.
  • Experience of Manufacturing processes implementation.
  • Experience of product line activities, routings, visual aids, corrective actions, and product costing.
  • Continuous Improvement focus, ideally with knowledge or experience of Lean techniques.
  • Degree qualified in a relevant subject.
