Manufacturing Engineer - Permanent Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team on a permanent basis at our West Sussex facility. As a key member of our packaging operations team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining seamless production operations, supporting equipment across multiple departments, and ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Engineering Practice (GEP) standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support during audits, production operations, and equipment breakdowns, including managing overtime and contractors.
  • Oversee the installation, repair, and calibration of equipment, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and machine suppliers to resolve technical issues, including supplier visits.
  • Develop, install, and validate new equipment, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Conduct risk assessments and report near-miss incidents, adhering strictly to health and safety protocols.
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 3, HND, or higher in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with 17th or 18th edition wiring regulations.
  • Experience with serialization and commercial equipment, including Siemens PLC/HMI.
  • Strong diagnostic skills, particularly with Siemens PLC/HMI, and proven problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent IT skills and the ability to communicate effectively, with experience in Continuous Improvement (CI) tools such as 5S and Kaizen.
