Commercial and Marketing Support Executive

Location: UK Headquarters, Runcorn (Hybrid 3 days on site)

Salary: up to £34,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

The Commercial and Marketing Support Executive will play a crucial role in driving business growth and success at Swissport. This position requires a unique blend of commercial acumen, marketing expertise, and data analysis skills.

Key Responsibilities

Data Ownership and Improvement:

  • Manage critical commercial systems, including Salesforce, to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive continuous improvements and provide essential data for senior decision-makers.

Bid/Tender Process Involvement:

  • Work closely with the Commercial team and other departments to craft compelling bid responses that showcase Swissport's values and services.
  • Generate fresh proposal content through research and engagement across the business.

Knowledge Base Development:

  • Create and maintain a repository of standard answers and templates to enhance bid response quality, consistency, and efficiency.
  • Support the bid process from conception to finalization, ensuring compliance and responsiveness.

Support Across Ground Handling, Cargo, and Lounges:

  • Assist with quarterly business reports, customer communication, and presentations.
  • Provide ad-hoc support to Contracts Admin, including side letters and addendums.

Event Coordination and Commercial Projects:

  • Organize and manage customer events and other commercial initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Strong written English language skills to craft persuasive proposals and engaging copy.
  • Commercial acumen to understand business needs and translate them into winning bids.
  • Creative mindset and attention to detail to craft compelling content that stands out.
  • Data-driven insights to uncover success-driving insights.
  • Tech-savvy independence to work autonomously while fostering a collaborative environment with internal stakeholders.
  • Verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.
  • Advanced PowerPoint skills to create professional presentations.

Experience/Education:

  • Bid management or copywriting experience is desirable, with a proven track record in crafting winning proposals.
  • Thriving in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Aviation industry knowledge is preferred, with ground handling expertise being a plus.
  • Education: GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
