As a Commercial and Marketing Support Specialist at Swissport, you will play a key role in driving business growth and success through data-driven insights and creative marketing strategies.
The Commercial and Marketing Support Specialist will assist the commercial team with administrative support and take the lead on Salesforce commercial reporting, compliance, and data accuracy. They will utilize various software packages and their own research to drive data collection and analysis of the aviation market, enabling the Commercial team to make informed decisions on a tactical and strategic level.
Responsibilities
- Data Ownership and Improvement:
- Take charge of critical commercial systems, including Salesforce.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to maintain data integrity and drive continuous improvements.
- Provide essential data for senior decision-makers, including the CEO and Board.
- Bid/Tender Process Involvement:
- Work closely with the Commercial team and other departments.
- Craft compelling bid responses that showcase Swissport's values and services.
- Generate fresh proposal content through research and engagement across the business.
- Knowledge Base Development:
- Create and maintain a repository of standard answers and templates.
- Identify opportunities to enhance bid response quality, consistency, and efficiency.
- Support the bid process from conception to finalization, ensuring compliance and responsiveness.
- Support Across Ground Handling, Cargo, and Lounges:
- Assist with quarterly business reports, customer communication, and presentations.
- Provide ad-hoc support to Contracts Admin, including side letters and addendums.
- Event Coordination and Commercial Projects:
- Organize and manage customer events and other commercial initiatives.
Qualifications
- Strong Written English Language Skills: Your persuasive proposals and engaging copy will captivate our audience.
- Commercial Acumen: Understand business needs and translate them into winning bids.
- Creative Mindset and Attention to Detail: Craft compelling content that stands out.
- Data-Driven Insights: Dive into data to uncover success-driving insights.
- Tech-Savvy Independence: Work autonomously while fostering a collaborative environment with internal stakeholders.

Experience/Education:
- Bid Management or Copywriting Experience (Desirable): Proven track record in crafting winning proposals.
- Thriving in a Fast-Paced Environment: Tight deadlines? No problem.
- Aviation Industry Knowledge (Preferred): Ground handling expertise is a plus.
- Education: GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
