About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Sous Chef to join our Hotel Kitchen team at Lingfield Park Marriott Hotel & Country Club.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Food Innovation: Develop and deliver an innovative food offer across the venue's retail, hospitality, and fine dining proposition.
  • Food Safety Management: Implement and adhere to the Company Food Safety Management System across all areas within remit.
  • Staff Management: Work with the Hotel Head Chef to manage the Kitchen staff rota across all sites in remit, ensuring set cost targets are met.
  • Accountability: Take personal accountability for food safety compliance, including ensuring allergen information is displayed correctly and teams are trained and briefed accordingly.
  • Financial Targets: Be aware of and support the delivery of financial targets.
About You:
  • NVQ Level 3 food preparation (or equivalent)
  • Food Safety Certificate (or equivalent)
  • Proven track record in a similar role
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of Food and Beverage service and commodities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Calm under pressure
  • Ability to act on own initiative
