Accounts Payable Specialist

Your Golf Travel is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Assistant to join our finance team. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth processing of accounts payable transactions.
Key Responsibilities:- Process and verify a high volume of invoices in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Cross-check invoices to ensure accuracy and challenge discrepancies as necessary
- Manage supplier allocations to ensure timely payments and maintain clear and controlled creditor records
- Support the weekly payment run and assist with statement reconciliations
- Deal with supplier queries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
- Process backup reports and assist with quarantined invoices and allocations
- Allocate payments to suppliers and answer telephone calls and email queries
- Assist with month-end duties and process credit card payments
- Support other ad-hoc queries and duties within the finance department
- Previous experience in accounts payable or a related field
- Working knowledge of Sage 200 or similar accounting software
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel at intermediate or advanced level
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Honesty and trustworthiness, with an awareness of the importance of confidentiality
- Ability to work well under pressure and be flexible
