Accounts Payable Assistant

Job SummaryWe're looking for a talented Accounts Payable Assistant to join our fast-paced finance team. As a key member of the accounts processing team, you'll report to the Accounts Payable Supervisor and Head Of Accounts Payable and Transactional Finance.
Key Responsibilities- Process a high volume of invoices in line with company policy and procedures
- Cross check invoices to ensure accuracy and challenge where necessary
- Manage supplier allocations to ensure timely payments and clear controlled age creditors
- Support weekly payment runs and deal with supplier queries
- Reconcile statements and process backup reports
- Assist with quarantined invoices and allocations
- Allocate payments into supplier accounts
- Answer telephone calls and email queries
- Assist with month-end duties and process credit card payments
- Accounts Payable experience
- Prior working knowledge of Sage 200 advantageous
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel at intermediate or advanced level
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Honest and trustworthy with awareness of confidentiality
- Ability to work well under pressure and be flexible
