Job Summary

Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear (CNTW) NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an enthusiastic Consultant Psychiatrist to join our dynamic team. As a Consultant Psychiatrist in Child and Adolescent Mental Health, you will be responsible for providing mental health services to children and adolescents within the Learning Disability pathway.

Main Duties

As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide clinical assessment, management, and treatment of mental health disorders in children and adolescents. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing clinical leadership and supervision to junior staff
  • Developing and implementing treatment plans in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team
  • Working with partner agencies to develop formulation, diagnosis, and ongoing care
  • Participating in service development and improvement initiatives
  • Providing teaching and training opportunities to junior staff and students
