Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear (CNTW) NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an enthusiastic Consultant Psychiatrist to join our dynamic team. As a Consultant Psychiatrist in Child and Adolescent Mental Health, you will be responsible for providing mental health services to children and adolescents within the Learning Disability pathway.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical assessment and management of mental health disorders in children and adolescents.
- Lead clinical teams and work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to develop shared decision-making.
- Develop and implement effective multiagency liaison with relevant departments.
- Undertake local strategic management tasks as appropriate to the post.
- Contribute to service development and teaching opportunities.
- Eligible for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of gaining CCT.
- Approved Clinician Status.
- Up-to-date knowledge in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry.
- Awareness of current issues in mental health service provision, policy, and legislation.
