Job Summary

Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear (CNTW) NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team. As a Consultant Psychiatrist in Child and Adolescent Mental Health, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to children and adolescents with mental health disorders.

Main Responsibilities

As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing clinical assessment and management of children and adolescents with mental health disorders
  • Leading a multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care
  • Participating in service development and quality improvement initiatives
  • Supervising junior doctors and medical students

Person Specification

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

  • Eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of gaining CCT
  • Approved Clinician Status
  • Up-to-date knowledge of child and adolescent psychiatry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
