About the Role

The Openwork Partnership is seeking a highly skilled Third Party Risk Management Specialist to champion, operate, and manage the Third-Party Supplier Risk Management Framework and deliver the day-to-day Third Party Risk Management Programme.

Key Responsibilities

  • Champion, operate, and manage the Third-Party Supplier Risk Management Framework and deliver the day-to-day Third Party Risk Management Programme.
  • Triage new suppliers to The Openwork Partnership and determine whether they require a third-party security assessment.
  • Identify and document gaps in supplier security controls to identify any residual risk to The Openwork Partnership services or data.
  • Ensure that all residual supplier risk is documented and subject to risk management, treatment, and business sign-off prior to business change go live.
  • Add relevant obligations to the contract for ongoing security assurance.
  • Liaise with third parties and build a relationship with their security and account teams for the purpose of ongoing contract assurance.
  • Support the completion of accurate materiality assessments and reporting thereof of potential and existing suppliers and facilitate supplier segmentation.
  • Ensure documentation and records are maintained in appropriate systems and tools and updated at required intervals.
  • Support business stakeholders and suppliers to develop risk management plans.
  • Work with suppliers to identify and remediate risks as required and furthermore identifying critical suppliers.
  • Maintain an up-to-date record of all suppliers that access, store, process, and provide critical services, including the supplier assurance risk register.
  • Provide high-quality risk reports, with guidance and recommendations, to enable senior business owners to make the most appropriate risk decisions relating to the use of the supplier.
  • Monitor on-going compliance of suppliers within set schedules depending on the risk profile of the supplier.
  • Work closely with the relevant business owners, legal, and procurement to ensure third-party risks are considered and managed at appropriate points of the supplier lifecycle.
  • Support colleagues with queries relating to supplier assurance.
  • Assist with Business Continuity Planning efforts as they relate to TPRM.
  • Attend key business forums as they relate to TPRM (Technical Design Authority, Change Assessment Board, Risk Management forums, etc).

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree, practitioner-level qualifications, or equivalent experience in the field of Information Security/Risk Management.
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CRISC, IRM, CTPRP, or equivalent are desirable.
  • Good understanding of Third-Party Risk Management practices and strategies.
  • Third-Party Risk experience gained from a supplier/vendor management, category management, or business development background.
  • Record of accomplishment in supporting the development or maintenance of risk policy in relation to suppliers, with appropriate levels of risk management.
  • IT audit/risk management, with examples of managing technology risk and compliance within an organisation.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards in relation to information security and business continuity.
  • SME level expertise in respect to information security risk management processes, frameworks, and procedures.
  • Leading, planning, and conducting interviews with suppliers (or similar stakeholders) to obtain an understanding of the area being reviewed.
  • Able to build solid working relationships with peers as well as internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks, ideally in relation to Financial Services.
