Digital Risk and Controls Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Digital Risk and Controls Specialist to join our Digital Platforms and SEO team at Nationwide Building Society. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing risk and controls across multiple squads, ensuring that our digital platforms and services meet the highest standards of governance and compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Online Sales Risk Control Process: Own and manage the Online Sales Risk Control process, ensuring that pages are reviewed and updated regularly by the squads, and that we adhere to our Consumer Duty requirements.
- Consumer Duty and Understanding: Run Consumer Duty and Understanding control processes for Digital Platforms and SEO, coordinating collaboration across other elements of the digital estate.
- Accessibility and Compliance: Ensure accessibility accreditation and compliance processes are established and followed, and that we are monitoring our cookie and data privacy policies correctly.
- Supplier Management: Manage processes with suppliers, including quarterly business reviews and RFPs, to ensure that we are governing them correctly.
- Risk Planning and Mitigation: Horizon scan, document, and mitigate potential risks for the Digital Platforms and SEO team, working with risk partners across the business where required.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in digital risk and controls, with experience working in a large complex organization with tight regulation and a focus on risk controls and mitigations. You should have a demonstrated understanding of Consumer Duty, Vulnerability, and Understanding within financial services, as well as experience in risk planning and controls implementation, working with suppliers, and working in an agile and data-driven environment.
