Digital Risk and Controls Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Digital Risk and Controls Specialist to join our Digital Platforms and SEO team at Nationwide Building Society. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing risk and controls across multiple squads, ensuring that our digital platforms and services meet the highest standards of governance and compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Online Sales Risk Control Process: Own and manage the Online Sales Risk Control process, ensuring that pages are reviewed and updated regularly by the squads, and that we adhere to our Consumer Duty requirements.
- Consumer Duty and Understanding: Run Consumer Duty and Understanding control processes for Digital Platforms and SEO, coordinating collaboration across other elements of the digital estate.
- Accessibility Accreditation: Ensure accessibility accreditation and compliance processes are established and followed, working with our accessibility lead to run regular audits.
- Cookie and Data Policy: Ensure that we are monitoring our cookie and data privacy policies correctly, and that we are adhering to relevant regulations.
- Supplier Management: Manage processes with suppliers, including quarterly business reviews and Requests for Proposal (RFPs).
- Risk Planning and Mitigation: Horizon scan to identify potential risks, document and implement mitigation plans, and work with risk partners across the business to ensure that we are managing our risk tolerance profile successfully.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience working within a digital team in a large, complex organization with tight regulation and a focus on risk controls and mitigations.
- Evidenced understanding of Consumer Duty, Vulnerability, and Understanding within financial services.
- Experience in risk planning and controls implementation.
- Evidenced experience of working with suppliers.
- Experience working within an agile and data-driven environment.
