About the Role:

Veritas Education Recruitment Ltd is working in partnership with a school in Rotherham to find a dedicated Speech and Language Therapist. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, and delivering therapy for students facing communication barriers and language needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify pupils' speech, language, and communication needs.
  2. Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in collaboration with Special Educational Needs (SEN) staff.
  3. Provide one-to-one and small group support to help students improve their communication skills.
  4. Monitor, report, and adjust therapy plans based on students' progress and evolving needs.
  5. Closely collaborate with the SEN Coordinator and other staff to ensure seamless support for all pupils.
  6. Engage with parents and carers to provide guidance and training on supporting communication development at home.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Fully qualified in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • Strong understanding of SEN and proven experience working with children in an educational setting.
  • A flexible and student-focused approach to promoting wellbeing and development.

Requirements:

  1. Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
  2. Experience working with children with complex needs.

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum.
