Premises Officer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Premises Officer to join our team at Novax Recruitment Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our premises, including portering duties, general maintenance, and minor repairs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily centre-related tasks and respond to room setups, room resource requests, water flushing, alarm testing, and other duties as required.
  • Collect and distribute incoming mail, parcels, and other deliveries, ensuring secure storage and compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to visitors, centre users, colleagues, and other staff, maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
  • Liaise with the premises team leader and/or premises and facilities manager to coordinate repairs, order equipment, and supervise contractors.
  • Regularly inspect equipment, undertake daily inspections of boiler equipment, and ensure heating and ventilation systems are functioning efficiently.
  • Take delivery of stores, materials, and transport them to all centres as required, and perform general duties in the café areas.
  • Maintain internal and external grounds in a clean and tidy manner, controlling parking in centre car parks.
Requirements:
  • Experience in carrying out minor repairs and maintenance.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of heating and ventilation systems, basic DIY procedures, and security procedures.
  • Ability to solve problems, think creatively, and remain calm in emergencies.
