Premises Officer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Premises Officer to join our team at Brackenberry Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security, cleanliness, and maintenance of Adult Learning Lewisham and designated community premises.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, and provide a safe environment for staff, service users, and visitors.
  • Key Holding and Access Control: Hold and secure premises keys, and provide access to internal areas as appropriate.
  • Portering and Maintenance: Perform portering duties, general maintenance, and minor repairs at all locations.
  • Task Management: Action daily centre-related tasks and those set out on the premises team task system.
  • Mail and Delivery Management: Collect and distribute incoming mail, parcels, and other deliveries, ensuring secure storage and compliance with data protection regulations.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: First Aid qualification or willingness to obtain one.
  • Experience: Experience of carrying out minor repairs, working with staff and members of the public, ensuring building security, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
