AECOM is a world-leading infrastructure consulting firm, delivering professional services throughout the project lifecycle. Our Ground Engineering team in the UK and Ireland comprises 150 experts, providing services ranging from project management to ground investigation design and interpretation, detailed design, contract administration, and construction supervision for ground engineering works in the UK and Ireland and overseas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct desk studies, site inspections, rockface surveys, and geomorphological mapping
  • Analyze geotechnical data, prepare ground models, design and report on foundations, retaining walls, soil slope stability, earthworks, rock slope stabilization
  • Utilize cutting-edge digital software, including Openground for ground investigation data management and Leapfrog for 3D geological modeling
  • Develop and implement geotechnical designs and solutions for various projects
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Engineering Geology/Geology with a 2:1 classification or above
  • MSc/MEng in Soil Mechanics, Geotechnical Engineering, or Engineering Geology is an advantage
  • Competent in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD/Civil 3D software
  • Geotechnical work experience is preferred but not essential
  • Demonstrable interest in geotechnical projects and promoting geotechnical activities with clients
