About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Glasgow. As a key member of our geotechnical team, you will be responsible for leading the development of junior staff and managing geotechnical and geo-environmental workload across the south.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake, scope, and review intrusive ground investigations, including understanding of currently available ground investigation, sampling, and laboratory analysis techniques.
  • Develop and interpret geotechnical models, including comprehensive understanding of ground properties and soil behaviors.
  • Prepare and review competent ground investigation reports and geotechnical design reports.
  • Assess and design temporary works, slope stability, foundations, earthworks, retaining structures, and other geotechnical engineering aspects.
  • Provide technically sound and commercially focused proposals and reports based on client requirements.
Requirements

A good degree in Earth Sciences, Geology, or Civil Engineering is required. An MSc in Geotechnics or Engineering Geology or a related subject would be beneficial. Chartered or near-chartered status is expected.
