Senior Director, R&D Program Management

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the delivery of complex and significant programs, from feasibility to commercialization, ensuring timely and within-budget execution.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive implementation and risk mitigation plans in collaboration with senior leadership and functional teams.
  • Coordinate and manage cross-functional program workstreams, including external collaborations, to drive successful project outcomes.
  • Lead a team of project managers, providing guidance and oversight to ensure effective program execution.
  • Develop and manage budgets, resource plans, and project schedules to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Prepare and present regular status updates to senior leadership and the Executive Committee of Waters Corporation.
  • Resolve conflicts and negotiate agreements between program teams and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Proven experience in leading complex programs in the LC/MS and IVD industries, with a track record of successful product launches.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to develop and manage high-performing teams.
  • Experience in negotiating and managing external collaborations, including contract manufacturing, OEM agreements, and CRO collaborations.
  • Excellent data analysis and reporting skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to senior leadership.
  • Strong business acumen and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive business outcomes.
  • Minimum of an Advanced degree (PhD, MBA, or equivalent) in a relevant field.
