Job Summary

Waters, a world leader in specialty measurement, is seeking a Senior Director, R&D Program Management to lead complex, business-critical programs with significant impact on our Clinical product roadmap and business. This role will oversee globally and functionally diverse project teams to develop instrumentation, software, and consumables for the In-Vitro Diagnostics LC/MS market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver complex programs from feasibility to manufacturing transfer and commercialization, ensuring timely, within-budget, and within-scope execution.
  • Develop and implement detailed implementation and risk mitigation plans in collaboration with functional leadership.
  • Coordinate internal program workstreams and functions, as well as external collaborations, to drive successful program outcomes.
  • Lead a team of project managers, hiring and developing talent to drive program success.
  • Prepare and report status updates to senior leadership and the Executive Committee of Waters.
  • Resolve challenges between program teams and other internal stakeholders.
Requirements

  • Proven track record as a successful program leader in instrumentation, consumable, and software development.
  • Experience managing teams through long, complex program implementations, with a proven ability to lead and develop talent.
  • Experience in negotiating and coordinating external collaborations, including contract manufacturing, OEM agreements, CRO collaborations, etc.
  • Excellent data analysis and reporting skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Strong business acumen and collaboration skills to meet business needs in partnership with other key stakeholders and functions.
  • Minimum of an Advanced degree (PhD, M.S.) in a Life Science, Med Tech, MBA, or equivalent.
