Job Summary

Waters Corporation is seeking a highly experienced Senior Director to lead our R&D Program Management team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for delivering complex business-critical programs that drive significant impact on our Clinical product roadmap and business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead globally and functionally diverse project teams to develop instrumentation, software, and consumables for the In-Vitro Diagnostics LC/MS market.
  • Develop and execute detailed implementation and risk mitigation plans in collaboration with functional leadership.
  • Coordinate all internal program workstreams and functions, as well as external collaborations.
  • Own the delivery of sub-project milestones on schedule, scope, and budget.
  • Develop budgets and resourcing plans, seek approval, and execute accordingly.
  • Lead a team of project managers, hire and develop project management talent.
  • Prepare and report status updates to senior leadership and the Executive Committee of Waters.
  • Resolve challenges between program teams and other internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • LC/MS and IVD industry experience, including participation and/or leadership of significant projects leading to successful product launches.
  • Proven track record as a successful program leader in instrumentation, consumable, and SW development.
  • Experience managing teams through long, complex program implementations.
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to lead and develop talent.
  • Experience in negotiating and coordinating external collaborations, including contract manufacturing, OEM agreements, CRO collaborations, etc.
  • Experience preparing and managing budgets.
  • Excellent data analysis and reporting skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Strong business acumen and good collaboration skills to meet business needs in partnership with other key stakeholders and functions.
  • Minimum of an Advanced degree (PhD, M.S.) in a Life Science, Med Tech, MBA or equivalent.
