Senior Architect - Residential Projects

A leading construction consultancy, renowned for its expertise in social housing, is seeking an experienced Senior Architect to join its design team. The Role

Based in West Yorkshire, this role offers the opportunity to work across a range of exciting projects, including large-scale new-build residential developments and complex recladding schemes for high-rise buildings. As a Senior Architect, you'll play a vital role in the technical delivery of projects, working closely with the design team from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop technical design drawings for RIBA Work Stages 2-6, with a primary focus on residential schemes, both new builds and refurbishments.
  • Create and manage 3D Revit models for design development and construction phases.
  • Run multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring the timely production of high-quality working drawings, specifications, and detailed documentation.
  • Provide technical oversight and review the work of junior team members, ensuring accuracy and compliance with design standards.
  • Attend client meetings, providing expert technical input and liaising closely with clients and contractors.
  • Conduct site visits, offering on-site technical advice and ensuring design intent is realized through construction.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in residential/housing design, particularly with high-rise and refurbishment projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit experience is highly desirable.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Building and Planning Regulations, as well as Design & Build Contracts.
  • Strong technical abilities across various construction methods, ensuring efficient, innovative solutions.
  • A collaborative mindset, with the ability to lead, mentor, and guide junior team members to success.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to work closely with clients and stakeholders.
