Health & Safety Manager

Refresco Milton Keynes is seeking a driven Health & Safety Manager to join our dynamic team.
You will play an integral role in ensuring the site maintains full compliance and remains a safe environment for all employees, while actively influencing our workforce to uphold a robust health and safety culture. We manufacture some of the UK's most recognized energy drink brands at our MK facility, prioritizing a secure workplace for everyone.
What You'll Do as a Health & Safety Manager at Refresco:
- Promote a high-performance safety culture and implement risk reduction strategies across all manufacturing operations.
- Collaborate with the site leadership team to ensure effective management of the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Management System.
- Provide technical support, guidance, and advice to Site Area Managers and personnel on all HSE-related matters.
- Drive proactive HSE initiatives such as the RADAR scheme and other safety programs.
- Work closely with the Plant HR Business Partner on occupational health issues.
Your Responsibilities Include:
- Maintaining compliance with the Company's HSE Management System, adhering to site requirements and group standardized documents.
- Collaborating with the Site PLT and UK Head of Health, Safety, and Environment to ensure consistency in delivering the HSE improvement agenda across all sites.
- Developing and implementing risk assessment programs, HSE audit and inspection programs, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Conducting thorough incident investigations and providing training on this process to other staff members.
- Managing change management processes related to HSE initiatives.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Monitor and report on HSE KPI's, including accident statistics, Environmental Permit Annual Returns, and environmental performance indicators.
About You:
We are looking for an experienced Health & Safety Manager with a passion for workplace safety and a proven track record of success in a manufacturing environment.
- You possess up-to-date knowledge of UK HSE legislation and its practical application.
- You hold at least a NEBOSH Certificate in Health and Safety.
- You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
