Health and Safety Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Refresco Milton Keynes. As a key member of our site leadership team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the site is maintained fully compliant and a safe place to work.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective health and safety strategies to minimize risks and ensure compliance with UK HSE legislation.
- Collaborate with site PLT and UK Head of Health, Safety and Environment to drive group consistency in the delivery of the HSE improvement agenda.
- Provide technical support, advice, and guidance to Site Area managers and other personnel on HSE related matters.
- Promote proactive HSE activities, including the RADAR scheme, and engage with site personnel to ensure a strong health and safety culture.
- Liaise with plant HR Business Partner on Occupational Health matters and provide support, assistance, and guidance to Departments on risk assessment programmes, HSE audit and inspection programmes, and change management.
- Manage HSE consultation and communication, performance management, objectives, audit schedules, emergency preparedness, non-conformances, PPE requirements, and benchmark system management.
- Engage with site and report on HSE KPI's, including accident statistics, Environmental Permit Annual Returns, and Environmental KPI's.
We are looking for a passionate HSE Manager with a drive for keeping people safe and driving engagement across the HSE programme. Ideally, you will have experience of working in a busy manufacturing and engineering environment with 2+ years as a HSE Manager. You should possess up-to-date knowledge of UK HSE legislation and its practical application, a NEBOSH Certificate in Health and Safety as a minimum, good Microsoft packages experience, and proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
