Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Wales Medicines Strategy Group as a Redevelopment Communications and Stakeholder Engagement Specialist.

The postholder will be an enthusiastic and proactive individual with a proven track record in similar communications and stakeholder engagement roles. They will lead on all delegated projects, ensuring the highest standards of communications and comprehensive stakeholder engagement plans are developed and delivered.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective stakeholder engagement strategies to ensure key stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the redevelopment process.
  • Create engaging communication materials for various audiences, including public information leaflets, newsletters, press releases, and websites.
  • Maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and other key stakeholders, providing regular updates and briefings as needed.
  • Work closely with the Trust Communications team to deliver effective staff, Governor, and Non-Executive Director (NED) engagement.
  • Manage the redevelopment website, including updating FAQs and responding to comments received via online surveys.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Significant experience in delivering written and verbal communications for diverse audiences.
  • Knowledge of local landscapes and communities, with the ability to develop community engagement strategies.
  • Ability to present complex information in an understandable and appropriate way.
  • Familiarity with data-driven decision making and insight support.
  • Strong media relations skills and excellent written communication skills.

Salary: £59,490 - £66,239 per annum, plus benefits, this role provides an opportunity to join an organisation with an exciting future and be part of a substantial change programme delivering best-in-class care for the local population.
