About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Network Service Technician to join our team at Thames Water. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and resolving issues related to our water network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to and resolve customer queries and issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with contractors to perform planned and unplanned work, including investigating clean water networks and resolving poor performance.
  • Assist in controlling burst mains, ensuring isolation for planned work, emergency repairs, and maintenance.
  • Perform valve operations, water sampling, and valve checks, as well as planning and coordination.
  • Work effectively within a team, covering core and standby hours, and be available for on-call duties.
  • Hold a full UK driving license and be willing to drive between jobs.

Requirements

  • Excellent customer service experience and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and initiative-taking.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Basic knowledge of domestic plumbing or water mains and leakage is advantageous but not essential.
  • Previous customer service experience in a constantly changing environment is essential.
  • Full UK driving license.
