Job Title: Marketing and Communications Officer for Family Hubs Programme

Islington Council is seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Marketing and Communications Officer for our Family Hubs Programme. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a marketing and communications strategy that promotes our Family Hubs services and engages with local communities.


Main Responsibilities:



  • Develop and implement a marketing and communications strategy that promotes our Family Hubs services and engages with local communities
  • Lead the development of marketing materials, including social media content, e-newsletters, and promotional materials
  • Work closely with our Family Hubs team to develop and deliver campaigns that promote our services and engage with local communities
  • Manage and maintain our social media presence, including creating and scheduling content, engaging with followers, and monitoring analytics
  • Provide project management support to the team, including coordinating meetings, developing project plans, and tracking progress

Requirements:



  • Proven experience in marketing and communications, including developing and implementing marketing strategies and creating marketing materials
  • Excellent project management skills, including coordinating meetings, developing project plans, and tracking progress
  • Strong social media skills, including creating and scheduling content, engaging with followers, and monitoring analytics
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with diverse stakeholders and communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner
  • Knowledge of local government and the voluntary sector, including an understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing families with children and young people
