Main Duties of the Job

As the Communications, Marketing and Engagement Officer for our Family Hubs Programme, you will be responsible for delivering a marketing, communications and engagement function for the programme. This will include:

  • Leading the delivery of marketing and communications activities and actions associated with the Family Hubs programme and approach
  • Coordinating and managing stakeholders and partners in the delivery of marketing, communications and engagement projects
  • Providing professional advice and guidance to partners, providers and the voluntary and community sector to help promote and engage residents with Family Hub/Start for Life services
  • Working with colleagues and delivery partners to develop a remote/virtual service offer for parents and carers
  • Keeping up to date on communication and marketing developments, especially digital/virtual, to ensure the communications activities are responsive to parents/carers, children and young people's preferred channels

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Demonstrable work-based experience or a level 6 qualification and above in marketing or communications disciplines
  • Clear knowledge and understanding of services and support for children and their families, including health, early years and childcare, education and skills, play and youth work, parenting/family support, safety and relationship support
  • Significant experience of communications and campaigns, including on digital and social channels
  • Strong project management skills to achieve deliverables involving multiple parties
  • Excellent communication and written communication skills, with attention to detail
  • Good with digital technology and able to use Microsoft Office suite, SharePoint and specialist marketing, engagement and communications products
