Data Centre Shift Technician

PRS Recruitment Services is seeking a highly skilled Data Centre Shift Technician to join our team in London Docklands. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data centre facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on building plant, equipment, and systems to meet and exceed expectations.
  • Respond to Building Management System alarms and perform emergency repairs as needed.
  • Ensure required switching schedules, SOPs, and EOPs are created and utilized in line with company policies and SSOW.
  • Maintain Evaporative Cooling Systems and domestic water systems to comply with the requirements of the L8 standard.
  • Prepare Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all in-house tasks to ensure safe working practices.
  • Supervise engineering subcontractors to ensure compliance with contractual commitments and site operating processes.
  • Ensure the provision of a safe and healthy working environment and compliance with all company and client site policies, procedures, and working arrangements.
  • Ensure work packs include required documentation, including the review of Subcontractor RAMS.
  • Ensure training and personal development are kept up to date, fostering a strong team culture.
Requirements:
  • Manual Handling Training would be an advantage.
  • Level 3 NVQ in an associated discipline.
  • PASMA & IPAF preferred.
  • Knowledge of multiple interlinked systems (Fire, PMS, BMS).
