Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Shift Technician to join our team at PRS Recruitment Services. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing and supervising planned and reactive maintenance activities in our data center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with building Engineering Supervisor and Shift Leader to ensure smooth operation of data center systems
  • Liaise with Engineering management and client personnel to ensure adherence to site policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations
  • Operate as an Authorised Person, ensuring completion of safety paperwork to high standards and alignment with company policies
  • Conduct routine maintenance on building plant, equipment, and systems to meet or exceed expectations and agreed service level agreements
  • Respond promptly to Building Management System alarms and undertake emergency repairs as necessary
  • Develop and utilize required switching schedules, SOPs, and EOPs in accordance with Company policies and Safe System of Work (SSOW)
  • Maintain Evaporative Cooling Systems and domestic water systems to comply with the requirements of the L8 standard
  • Prepare Method Statements and Risk Assessments for in-house tasks to ensure adherence to safe working practices
  • Supervise engineering subcontractors and ensure compliance with contractual commitments and site operating processes
  • Promote a safe and healthy working environment, ensuring compliance with all Company and client site policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Manual Handling Training is advantageous
  • Level 3 NVQ in associated discipline
