Children's Residential Support Worker Team Lead

Long Stratton, Norfolk, United Kingdom Break Charity Full time

At Break, we're committed to providing the highest quality of care for young people in our services. As a Children's Residential Support Worker Team Lead, you'll play a vital role in shaping the outcomes for these young people. Your energy and passion to see them thrive will be at the heart of your work to lead, guide, and support your colleagues in creating fun and inspirational shifts for the team and young people to be part of.

During your first twelve months, you'll build relationships with the young people we care for and support in our homes. You may find yourself planning and taking part in trips and activities, and learning new skills to help young people overcome communication difficulties. Every milestone in our disability services is celebrated and treasured.

We're looking for an excellent team player who is warm, caring, calm, and resilient enough to cope with the complex emotional and behavioural needs of the young people we support. You'll need to successfully complete an NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare before you complete 24 months of Support Work. This will be fully funded by Break, and you'll be supported by our training team.

Please note that you must have a full, valid, manual driving licence. We offer a range of benefits, including a "golden hello" scheme, a referral scheme, 31 days annual leave per year, and access to the Blue Light benefits platform.

We're an organisation that values diversity and recognises that our workforce is our biggest asset. We strive to provide a well-rounded start in life for the children and young people in our care, and we're committed to ensuring that our staff reflect the diversity of the communities we serve.

The first interview will be a Safe Care/Warner style interview. An enhanced DBS check is required for the role, and you'll be asked to provide details of your full employment history to comply with OFSTED requirements.
