About the Role

Pembroke College is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Facilities Maintenance Assistant to join its maintenance team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing various maintenance tasks, ensuring the upkeep and improvement of our historic college environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality maintenance tasks, including painting, decorating, and basic plumbing, to ensure all repairs and installations meet college standards.
  • Assist in setting up spaces for conferences, events, and daily operations.
  • Contribute to preventative maintenance by playing an active role in routine maintenance and small projects that help prevent issues and maintain the longevity of college facilities.
  • Maintain safety standards by following health and safety protocols rigorously and contributing to a tidy, secure work environment.

About You

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking individual with prior experience in maintenance or a similar role. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, a basic understanding of health and safety practices, and the physical capability to meet the demands of the role. A GCSE in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or higher) is also required.
