Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Film and Media Programming Specialist to join our team at Box in Shoreditch. As a key member of our programming team, you will play a vital role in researching and planning the Screen programme, ensuring that it meets the high standards of quality and diversity that we expect.

About the Role

In this exciting role, you will work closely with the Head of Screen and the Screen Programme Producer to track completed and soon-to-be completed films from filmmakers, sales agents, and distributors. You will also be responsible for attending preview film screenings, film festivals, and industry events to source programming and develop your knowledge, skills, and expertise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Programming:
    • Research and plan the Screen programme in collaboration with the Head of Screen.
    • Maintain relationships with sales agents, distributors, and organisations.
    • Track completed and soon-to-be completed films from filmmakers, sales agents, and distributors.
  • Marketing & Press:
    • Produce engaging copy to promote the Screen programme in line with the Box brand and tone of voice.
  • Public Speaking & Hosting:
    • Introduce screenings, host Q&As, moderate networking sessions, panels, and other public programming activities.
  • Other:
    • Promote Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion across all festival activity.
    • Carry out duties with regard to the Festival's Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion and Health and Safety Policies.

Salary: £42,500 - £52,500 per annum, depending on experience.
