About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Optical Assistant to join our team at CHEC. As an Optical Assistant, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day running of our eye care clinics, working closely with our clinical team to provide exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of clinical areas, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for patients and staff.
- Support patients throughout their journey, providing empathetic and personalized care.
- Act as a theatre runner/escort, ensuring patients receive the highest quality care during surgery.
- Contribute to the development of our team, sharing knowledge and best practices to enhance patient outcomes.

- Natural ability to empathize with patients and demonstrate a genuine care for their well-being.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and external partners.
- Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Desire to develop and grow with our organization, embracing new challenges and opportunities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other systems, with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
