About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Optical Assistant to join our team at CHEC. As an Optical Assistant, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day running of our eye care clinics, working closely with our clinical team to provide exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and maintenance of clinical areas, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for patients and staff.
Support patients throughout their journey, providing empathetic and personalized care, and reporting any concerns to the clinical team.
Act as a theatre runner/escort, ensuring patients receive the highest quality care during surgery.
Prepare all areas prior to clinical activities, adhering to high standards of quality patient care and good record keeping.
Person Specification
We are looking for someone with a natural ability to empathize with patients, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a strong attention to detail.
Experience in a healthcare setting is desirable, but not essential. We are committed to providing ongoing training and development opportunities to support your growth and success in this role.
