Special Needs Coordinator Lead

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Special Needs Coordinator Lead to join our dynamic team in Hertfordshire. As the lead coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring every child receives the support they need to thrive academically and socially.
About the Position- This is a full-time position with a temp to perm contract, starting in April 2024.
- The ideal candidate will have experience working in an educational setting and a passion for special needs education.
- Strategy Development: Be at the forefront of designing, implementing, and evaluating effective strategies to support the learning and development of children with special educational needs.
- Teacher Support: Work closely with classroom teachers to create inclusive learning environments and adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of our students.
- Individualized Support Plans: Develop and oversee personalized support plans, ensuring they are tailored to each child's unique strengths and challenges.
- Liaison with Parents: Foster strong partnerships with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on their child's progress and offering guidance on how they can support their child's learning at home.
- Staff Training: Provide ongoing training and support for staff to enhance their understanding of special educational needs, fostering a culture of inclusivity within the school community.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Regularly assess the impact of SEN provision, collecting and analysing data to make informed decisions and continuously improve support services.
- Leadership Role: Assume a leadership role within the school, advocating for the rights of students with special educational needs and championing inclusive practices.
£35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
