Key Responsibilities- Monitor and maintain the Sage accounting system to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Manage the Purchase Order Control system and ensure its smooth operation.
- Collaborate with the management team to create an annual budget.
- Perform month-end and year-end closedowns in Sage, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Reconcile the General Ledger, Balance Sheet, and Cashbook to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Manage the Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger, ensuring effective debt management.
- Produce monthly financial and management accounts, as well as monthly job costing reports.
- Provide cash flow reporting and attend weekly cash flow meetings.
- Liaise with external accountants for year-end statutory accounts production.
- Reconcile and submit Quarterly VAT returns.
- Manage the company pension scheme and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Experience in a similar role is essential.
- Fully AAT qualified or qualified by experience is required.
- Strong working knowledge of SAGE is necessary.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.
- Ability to work independently to drive improvements is essential.
- Good leadership skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships are required.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Excel is necessary.
This role offers a salary up to £45,000 depending on experience, as well as benefits including flexible working, career progression prospects, study support, free on-site parking, holidays increasing with service, company pension scheme, and work social events.
