We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Practitioner for Sex Worker Outreach to join our dynamic team at Humankind. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in supporting individuals engaged in or at risk of engaging in sex work.

The successful candidate will lead the team in implementing proactive, outreach-based strategies to engage with individuals involved in sex work, emphasizing the importance of reaching out to those who may not traditionally seek help. They will champion a holistic, flexible, and trauma-informed service delivery model that acknowledges the complex socio-economic challenges, stigma, and discrimination faced by sex workers.

The ideal candidate will have experience in substance misuse, mental health support, or working with sex workers, and will be able to work collaboratively with key agencies to deliver tailored, person-centred, and wraparound support. They will also be able to facilitate access to inpatient detoxification and residential rehabilitation services for those wishing to pursue recovery.

About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional who is passionate about supporting individuals engaged in or at risk of engaging in sex work. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in substance misuse, mental health support, or working with sex workers, and will be able to work collaboratively with key agencies to deliver tailored, person-centred, and wraparound support.

The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:
  • Experience in substance misuse, mental health support, or working with sex workers
  • Ability to work collaboratively with key agencies to deliver tailored, person-centred, and wraparound support
  • Ability to facilitate access to inpatient detoxification and residential rehabilitation services for those wishing to pursue recovery
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or above or equivalent)
