About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 child with Autism in a local school. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of child development and SEN, with experience in supporting children with challenging behaviour.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the child on a 1:1 basis, following their EHCP plan and creating engaging activities to achieve their targets.
  • Log the activities created and the child's response, behaviour, and progression in their learning, feeding back to the teacher on a daily basis.
  • Work collaboratively with the teaching team to ensure the child's needs are met and their progress is monitored.

Requirements

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Experience supporting children with Autism and challenging behaviour.
  • Strong understanding of child development and SEN.
