Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide vital support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a classroom setting.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have experience working with SEN students in an educational setting and a good understanding of SEN strategies and interventions. You will be responsible for implementing individualised learning plans and strategies as directed by the class teacher, assisting with classroom management and behaviour support for SEN students, and supporting students with personal care needs if required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support and assistance to students with SEN in a classroom setting
  • Implement individualised learning plans and strategies as directed by the class teacher
  • Assist with classroom management and behaviour support for SEN students
  • Support students with personal care needs if required
Requirements:
  • Experience working with SEN students in an educational setting
  • Good understanding of SEN strategies and interventions
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Additional training or qualifications in specific areas of SEN support
  • Experience working with a range of SEN conditions
Working Conditions:
  • Temporary position with full-time hours
  • Work within a school environment
  • May involve assisting with personal care needs of students
